Dag Albert is a highly successful eventer originally from Sweden and now based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, England with his partner Liz.

Dag’s first major success was as Junior Swedish Eventing Champion in 1987. Dag went on to represent his country as a young rider and then competed at his first Olympics in Atlanta with Nice N’Easy.

Dag has since competed in two Olympics for Sweden, numerous World and European championships, and all major three and four star events. Dag is known for his great skill riding cross country.

 

Dag managed the fastest cross country time in the 2005 European’s at Blenheim as first horse to go. He placed overall 14th at the 2006 World Games in Aachen, winning the DHL fastest cross country award. Dag also successfully completed Badminton on Who's Blitz in 2006 and 2007.

In 2008 Dag and his other advanced horse Tubber Rebel completed the Bejing Olympics. Owned by Carl and Sally Hanson of Gloucestershire, Tubber Rebel affectionatley known as Bugsy, was the youngest horses to compete. His performance saw him succesfully complete all three phases and be part of the fourth placed eventing team.

Dag is enjoying training a number of up and coming young eventers including, Mitras Eminem, Crescendo H and Theo II.
